Christian Friends of Israeli Communities v Albanese
The National Jewish Advocacy Center (NJAC) has filed a lawsuit on behalf of two American Christian charities—Christian Friends of Israeli Communities (CFOIC Heartland) and Christians for Israel USA (C4I USA)—against Francesca Paola Albanese, a former United Nations official. The lawsuit says that Albanese made false and hateful statements accusing these peaceful, law-abiding groups of serious crimes like genocide and war crimes. The two charities, which focus on building friendships between Christians and Jews and supporting communities in Israel, say her words were not only untrue but also meant to harm their reputations and put them in danger.
According to the complaint, Albanese’s actions continued even after her United Nations role had officially ended. In a report she shared publicly in 2025, she listed CFOIC Heartland and C4I USA as “key financial enablers” of wrongdoing in Israel and urged governments and the public to punish them. NJAC argues that her report spread lies that have caused real harm—hurting the organizations’ good names, putting their supporters at risk, and threatening their ability to keep doing their charitable work. The lawsuit asks the court to make her take back her statements, stop spreading false claims, and pay damages for the harm she caused.
