In Memory of Daniel Raphael Paluch
Daniel Raphael Paluch, zichrono livracha, was an outstanding litigator, an accomplished advocate, a devoted family man, and a beloved friend to all who knew him. Daniel also served as counsel with NJAC on a number of important cases protecting the Jewish people before his sudden tragic passing on July 8, 2025.
Daniel’s work was never just about defending clients—though he did that remarkably well—it was about lifting people up. Whether advocating for those whose rights had been trampled, offering free legal advice to someone in need, or giving warm and easy compliments to his colleagues, Daniel's sense of justice was always inseparable from his deep and quiet kindness.
He was the type of person who gave rides without being asked, offered help without needing credit, and brought comfort simply by being present. In a world that too often rewards the loud and the self-serving, Daniel was a quiet force of generosity, humility, and goodness. He gave freely of his time, his mind, and his heart.
He spoke lovingly of his family, and he carried his community with grace. His generosity wasn’t performative—it was steady, sincere, and rooted in a deep warmth that touched everyone around him.
Pirkei Avot teaches: “In a place where there are no men, strive to be a man.” (Avot 2:6)
In a world where many look away, Daniel stepped forward. Where others hesitated, he reached
out. When people were in pain, he brought comfort. And when his people were
threatened—Daniel always stood tall.
As a nonprofit organization dedicated to combatting antisemitism, NJAC often relies on its
network of pro bono attorneys who, like Daniel, are willing to donate some of their precious time
and energy to the cause. In honor of our dear friend, NJAC has now dedicated its pro bono
program to Daniel’s memory.
We pray that his memory will continue to be a blessing—not only in our hearts, but in every act of courage and compassion we carry forward in his name. Daniel mattered deeply, and he leaves behind a legacy of compassionate excellence that we and all of our associates can only hope to emulate.
Yehi Zichro Baruch.
