NJAC Secures Major Legal Wins, Takes on Landmark Harvard Case, and Leads the Fight Against Antisemitism Nationwide

this month, NJAC resolved high-profile lawsuits against Delta Air Lines, filed precedent-setting cases defending Jewish and Zionist identity, and joined national civil rights leaders in a federal action against Harvard University. NJAC’s leadership was also spotlighted in major media appearances, including Life, Liberty & Levin. Continue reading below for full case updates, legal victories, and media highlights.

NJAC Joins National Civil Rights Leaders in Landmark Harvard Lawsuit

NJAC has joined a powerful coalition of civil rights leaders in filing amicus briefs in a federal lawsuit challenging Harvard University’s federal funding, citing systemic antisemitic discrimination.

Press Release Highlights

July 11, 2025 | Major Win: NJAC Resolves Two Antisemitism Lawsuits Against Delta Air Lines
The National Jewish Advocacy Center (NJAC) is pleased to announce the resolution of two discrimination lawsuits brought against Delta Air Lines, Inc.: Lavy v. Delta Air Lines Inc. and Segev v. Delta Air Lines Inc. The lawsuits were filed by Sharon Lavy and Roey Segev, two Jewish Israeli flight attendants who came forward with claims of antisemitic discrimination and retaliation during their employment with Delta. Both matters have now been resolved on mutually agreeable terms, bringing meaningful closure to these important cases.

“We are proud to have supported Ms. Lavy and Mr. Segev in their cases against Delta, and we are pleased that a favorable result has been reached for all parties involved,”— Lauren Israelovitch, Senior Litigation Counsel at NJAC
NJAC is grateful to those who offered support throughout the litigation. While the specific terms of the settlements are confidential, both Ms. Lavy and Mr. Segev are satisfied with the outcome and appreciate the efforts made on their behalf.

Ongoing Cases & Action

Pauker v. Harbin Hot Springs - After canceling Jewish artist Mikey Pauker’s Hannukah concert due to his pro-Israel views, Harbin Hot Springs claimed anti-Zionist discrimination is permitted. NJAC recently filed a powerful opposition arguing Zionism is integral to Jewish identity, not just a political stance. This case may shape future legal precedent on antisemitism.

Hasson v. eSports Platforms & Tournaments - Felix Hasson, a Jewish professional video game player, was banned from several tournaments, venues, and online platforms due to his pro-Israel tweets. NJAC filed an extensive lawsuit on his behalf in New York City’s federal court at the end of last year. This month, several settlements emerged.

  • One of the most prestigious tournaments removed their ban, condemned those involved, and apologized, recognizing that anti-Zionism is antisemitism.

  • The most prestigious online platform followed, with an apology that has over 1.4 million views.

Sumrall v. CODEPINK Attacker- this month, NJAC filed a lawsuit on behalf of Kimmara Sumrall, a Washington, D.C.–based Zionist activist who was assaulted by a member of the CODEPINK hate group at the U.S. Capitol. The lawsuit argues that Ms. Sumrall’s civil rights were violated because she was attacked based on her Jewish ethnicity.

Almost immediately after the lawsuit was filed, a federal district court determined Ms. Sumrall was likely to succeed on the merits of her case and issued a temporary restraining order against her attacker. NJAC is currently awaiting a ruling on converting the restraining order into a preliminary injunction.

NJAC in the Media

Mark Goldfeder Appears on Life, Liberty & Levin

NJAC’s CEO, Mark Goldfeder, was featured on Fox News’s Life, Liberty & Levin, hosted by constitutional scholar Mark Levin. He discussed NJAC’s work on the Harvard federal funding lawsuit and emphasized the legal dangers of misusing First Amendment protections to enable antisemitic and extremist rhetoric.
