Dear Chancellor Samuels:
We submit this letter on behalf of Gevura Fund, NYC Public School Alliance, Queens Parents United, United Jewish Teachers, Parents Against Antisemitism, and Safe Campus to provide formal notice of antisemitic (i.e., anti-Jewish) conduct that appears planned and ongoing by teachers employed by the New York City Public Schools (“NYCPS”/“DOE”). Based on publicly available information, a group of City-employed teachers operating as “NYC Educators for Palestine” (“EFP”) is using (or is poised to use) its positions as public-school instructors to publicize, recruit for, and potentially facilitate an off-campus event aimed at indoctrinating K–12 students with ideological and demonstrably false material vilifying the State of Israel and its Jewish inhabitants — which constitute the identity and homeland connection of a substantial portion of world Jewry, including many children in the care of the NYC Public Schools.
